BACKGROUND: Jack found this original 63 notch on eBay. The price was right and Jack won the auction. With help from 1500 Club member Johannes in Germany, it was shipped to Long Beach harbor. After getting it home, the clean original notch started to reveal its secrets.
RESTORATION: Mostly original paint and a clean correct interior with NOS coco mats on the floor. To Jacks surprise were 5 6.00x15 Firestone bias ply tires in excellent shape ready to mount. The car runs well but needs some clean-up and repair to the motor, lower body, brakes and rims. All non-correct items and general restoration are to be carried out by Jack as soon as possible.
UPDATE (April 2006): Engine has been detailed and fitted with NOS muffler. Other NOS parts have been located such as door handles, taillight seals, side markers, and rare rubber bumper guards. Replacing non-original washer bottle with correct version and push button dash are next on the list to getting back to the correct specs.
